1998 Chevy Astro dash gauges

I need to know why the gauges in dash panel will not work the temp goes to 260 and the rest of them stay at zero the display for park nuetral etc. does not illuminate the turn signals do not work with the key on, but if I turn the key off the four ways will work.Please help I am out of ideas!!!!

Check the electrical ignition switch and the ground connector for the flasher.
