I just installed a new starter it was working fine then it started not working I then put another new starter in an it doesnt work it seems to be ingageing real hard I tryed toshim it it didnt work I also noticed the starter moves when u try too start it I mesured the nose of the starter an they seem too be the same there were no shims when I took the old starter

Most of the time you will not need to use shims. Is the starter an ac delco replacement? If not, most inexpensive starters will have operational problems. Also check the flywheel to make sure the teeth on the flex plate are in good shape. If they are worn down you may need to replace the flex plate (flywheel)
