1997 Chevy Astro e brake

Brakes problem
1997 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Automatic

My 1997 astro vans e brake wont release. The handle pulls normally but brake stuck down. What do i do?

Check the cables that go into the rear brake assembly. There is one on both sides. Wiggle them and try spraying a penertating oil in the sleve the cable is part of.
