1997 Chevy Astro Crack & Popping Noise on left front un

Noises only happen when temperatures rise above 60 degrees. Popping/Cracking happens while driving. A couple of times, happened after leaving vehicle and walking away. Just had new shocks put on, but can't figure out what else it could be? Thanks for your help.
