Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Automatic 110000 miles

Can't seem to get a definate answer as to how difficult/expensive is it to replace camshaft bearings. Does this involve lifting the engine and/or replacing with a new or rebuilt one?

You can do it in van but whole front end comes off so you have room to pull out cam. Will need special tool to remove and install bearings. What's going on that makes you think need cam bearings?
