1996 Chevy Astro fuel pump

im pretty sure that the fuel pump is the problem, i replaced the fuel filter and nothing happened, the car would start but as soon as u hit the accelerator it would die. i need to know how exactly to drop the tank and get the pump out also if i need to replace this screen ive seen people talking about online if you could help that would be great thank alot

Do you hear the fuel pump come on for 2secs when key at run position? If so check fuel pressure and comeback with the readings.
