My husband is replacing the head gasket on our van however even after removing all of the bolts the head still will not come off. What can he do or is there a special something that has to be done?

after all bolts are removed, and the intake manifold is removed head should come right off. maybe has sealent holding on, have him hook a engine hoist to the head and see if he can lift it.

youve disconnected the exhaust manifolds right?
