I have a 95 astro van with a broken torsion bar. Is this hard to replace?

Not with the proper tools and some time. You will want to replace both bars so that they match in load carrying. To remove and replace you will need the tool (rent one, it's cheaper) that takes the tension off the adjuster, remove it and release the tension on the bar. Then remove the bars. Replace the torsion bar cross member mounts as well. Then install the new ones and re-tension. Measure the ride height and check it against the factory numbers. Enjoy the ride!
