1995 Chevy Astro brake lights and back-up light

1995 Chevy Astro 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

a pleasant day to you sir, i have this problem with my astro, whenever i put on the brakes the back-up light is the one lighting up on my tail lights, please help me out i dont know what seems to be the problem. Anotyher thing is about my vacuum hoses, can you help me out with the connection of the tine hoses near the carburator, i dont know where it goes, it is near the carburator that small hose going and out of that electronic device.

Your lower brake lites and turn signals use the same bulb filament, just not at the same time. The lower brake lites are wired through the turn switch. The tail lamps get voltage from the headlamp switch on, brown wire. Ground wire is black. Check the ground and voltage.
