my 92 astro van's fuel pump gave out. I replaced the pump with one I found at a pick and pull. The pump works but I am not getting any pressure and it will not turn over. Any thoughts?

Hi:

Is the pump sending any fuel? If not, regardless of the fact it's running, it may no longer pump fuel. The easiest thing is to remove the fuel line where it connects to the pump. Turn the key on to power the pump. Is there any fuel?

When doing this, be prepared for the pump to work and pump fuel. The best thing to do is get another piece of fuel line, attach it to the fuel pump and direct it into a gas can. Keep in mind, you don't want fuel splashing anywhere there could be a spark or anyting to ignite it.

Joe
Let me know how it goes.

That is an interesting point you just gave me and actually, it's the last thing I am going to try. I should have tried the pump in fuel to see that it did pump at all but instead I just plugged the connection and assumed that the pump was working. I am going to try that tonight and update. To add to my procedures list, I had my fuel injectors replaced last year and I changed my fuel filter as well. My fuse for the ecm b is 15 amp but is it supposed to be 20 amp? Any more tips would help, thanks!
