I have a 92 Astro van with a 4.3 non Vortec that runs fine when the engine is cold but when the engine is warm it will idle fine and when you push the gas pedel to the floor quickly it will rev up ok. My problem is when I press the gas pedel slowly the engine will stall. I pulled the coil wire off the dist cap and my spark is yellow. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I removed the EGR valve cleaned it and reinstalled it without the vacuum hose on it and it didnt make a difference, do you think it could be the throttle position sensor?

Check for vacuum at the map sensor. Make sure it is strong and drops off quickly when you accelerate. A lot of these get full of carbon on the bottom of the throttle body where the vacuum ports are causing your symptoms. Did you check it for codes?

I changed the coolant temp sensor and the engine ran fine after that.
