What transmissions from other GM vehicles are compatible with the astro van? I'm trying to pick up the latest year transmission from a salvage yard to replace mine.

Hi:
If you are contacting salvage yards, they will know best. But I'll tell you, there have been many changes (even slight ones) that will limit you to a 1990 trans.
