To check the transmission fluid warm with the engine OFF, within 60–90 seconds after shutting it off. The engine-off advice you received is correct for this model.

1. Park on level ground and set the parking brake.

2. Bring the engine to normal operating temperature, then shut it off.

3. Within that 60–90-second window, remove the transmission dipstick, wipe it clean, fully reinsert it, and remove it again to read the level.

4. The fluid should be between the dipstick’s upper and lower marks. If needed, add Acura ATF DW-1 in small amounts; avoid overfilling.
