Check light not is chipping out

Hello, good evening, the check light is not chipping out and when I drive the vehicle fast down the road to test it. it stops taking rev from me and just idling hard and when I switch the engine off for a few minutes and start it again, it goes back to normal. Do you know the cause of this please? Thank you.
