Hi, when I am driving, I randomly get a "check injection" message that appears on the dash. This clears itself after 10/15secons. I don't lose any power; the car doesn't feel any different driving when the message is on the dash.
I have plugged a friends ODB reader into my car and there are no faults showing. Just wondering apart from the obvious, what could it be? Is it worth getting an injector cleaner and trying that?

Hi,

This vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

This type of indicator usually occurs when there is a pressure issue within the injector system. For example, if the pressure is too high or low, it can show the indicator to illuminate. Also, if there is a fuel restriction due to a dirty filter or dirty injectors, that can do it as well.

Have you been able to scan the computer when the light is on?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi, thanks for the reply.
No, I've not been able to scan it when the light is on, it's only on for 10/15 seconds. By the time I had pulled over and got the ODB connected the light and message had gone and when I do scan it there were no codes in the system. Is it worth me trying some injector cleaner? Will that do anything to help or is it a little past that point if I am getting this message?

Thanks again.

Hi,

Actually, I think that is a good idea. Also, you may want to consider cleaning the throttle body. Here is a link that you may find helpful. It explains how to clean it.

Let me know if it helps.

Take care,
