I had to check engine light on in my truck and it was in limp mode, so I brought it to AutoZone and hooked the computer to it and it only threw a code for a relay. I replaced all the relays, shifts solenoid, governor pressure sensor and new transmission filter and it's still doing the same thing and check engine light still on. I disconnected the positive and negative for over 20 minutes and it's still doing the same thing.

Diagnostic fault codes never say to replace a part or that one is defective. They only refer to the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis, or the unacceptable operating condition.

To get started, we need the exact fault code number(s). You can go here:

https://www.2carpros.com/trouble_codes/obd2

to see the definitions, or I would be happy to interpret them for you. Once I know the number, we can figure out where to go next.

What are the exact symptoms? Does the transmission upshift to second gear, then stay there? If so, does it go into second as soon as you shift into "drive", or does it bang back to second after a few up-shifts? Are there any other symptoms, clues, or observations that started at the same time? I may be heading out of town tomorrow, so don't panic if it takes me a day or two to see your reply.
