Hi,

i drive a tata indica lsi 2008, my check engine light stays on and it started after i installed a branch and freeflow in the car,

i took the car in to read the ECU they don't to give me the error code. but told me the car is unable to handle the airflow so the installed a cat fooler for $100 but issue is still there,

any of you have an idea what it could be? ps. they cut off my cat and did not replace it.

I assume that "Branch of Freeflow" refers to the exhaust system. First, without the code, it is hard to guide you. However, if the light is now on, I would change things back to the way the vehicle was designed. I have no idea what a cat fooler is, but it sounds like something that shouldn't be used.

Since the cat is no longer there, I feel that is where the problem is coming from. It needs to be reinstalled for the computer to function properly.

Hi thanks for the reply. The cat fooler is a small sensor to fool the ecu to think there is a cat in. But i am going to put the cat bavk in. Just one thing that worries me now while driving home the car just loss power on 5000rpm in second gear i could not go higher then 20km/h but came back to normal after I switched the car of and on again.

The computer doesn't know what to do without the right info from the O2 sensors in the cat. It is trying to adjust the air fuel mixture and doesn't know how to do it.
