My check engine light came on. Stopped and got a free code reading. It came up as the “output shaft speed sensor”.

Hello,

The output shaft speed sensor is internal to the transmission on these trucks. Do you have access to a scan tool with the capability of seeing live data? They can be purchased relatively inexpensively on Amazon. I would monitor the live data and see if the sensor is reading the vehicle speed correctly. This will take some electrical pinpoint tests to diagnose if you are up for the task. Please let me know!
