Check engine light came on last week. Car runs fine.
P0192 current, and P1450 pending. Thanks :)

I would replace the fuel pressure sensor which is common and then clear the codes to see if the pending P1450 code comes back.

P0192 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input (Current):

Here is the location of the sensor. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thanks. I've got some new additional info. After driving very gently for a few days, the check engine light went out. When I noticed the light went out, I tried accelerating hard. The car started to accelerate, hesitated briefly and then continued to accelerate. At that moment of hesitation, the check engine light came back with the same code. I tried looking at live data from the fuel rail pressure sensor. At warm idle in park, ac off, the readings vary between 2940 and 3080 kpa. Would you still recommend replacing the fuel rail pressure sensor?

Yes, this can happen if the sensor is having an intermittent problem. I would replace the sensor. There is an outside chance you have a fuel contamination problem.

Okay, will do. When I try looking for the part, it seems to show the fuel pressure sensor under the back seat of my car. In the image you sent it's on the engine. Can you confirm which part you mean? My 2016 CX-5 is vin JM3KE2CY9F0478828. Is this the part? https://parts.mazdausa.com/p/Mazda_2015_CX-5-25L-AT-2WD-Touring/SENSOR--BOOST-SENSOR--PRESSURE/105508626/PE02-18-211.html Thanks again

So, there is a gas tank pressure sensor and a fuel rail pressure sensor. Your problem is the fuel rail pressure sensor.

Looking and looking for this sensor. Can't find a part number. Could it be, it's only sold with the whole fuel rail on my car? I can see what looks like the correct sensor in images of the entire fuel rail. I noticed in my original post I said 2016, but when checking the VIN, I guess mine is a 2015. Maybe that makes a difference? JM3KE2CY9F0478828 Thanks

Yep, you are correct:

The fuel pressure sensor cannot be removed as a single unit. When replacing the fuel pressure sensor, replace it together with the fuel distributor as a single unit.

Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

The problem showed up while my son was visiting. He drives like a maniac :) I can make the code come back by flooring it, but now that only I'm driving, the code has been gone for more than a week of regular driving. Think I'm going to wait on fixing it for now since the code is not coming back. Sent a little $ to your go fund me. Aloha
