So, for a while my needles were all over the place while driving, then just stopped working. Mileage doesn’t display only check engine light. Dimmer switch still works for low and high beams. Radio, horn, and TV still work. I’ve checked fuses including IPC fuse mini-10.
Is that check engine light connected to the cluster? What other checks can I perform? Any help would be great single female parent.

Hi,

The instrument clusters on these vehicles are known to fail. Oftentimes, the printed circuit boards inside have solder joints that crank causing a weak or no connection condition.

First, you have already checked fuses. So, make sure the connector is secure and fully plugged into the cluster.

If that is good, take a look through the diagnostics below. They are for an inoperative instrument cluster. Let me know if this is something you are comfortable doing.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
