Good afternoon,
There is a fault code stored for the light. There are many systems on the car and it still can right well even with a fault.
You should never ignore the code as it could lead to something major if you do not address it.
I would go to a parts store and have them read the codes for free. When you get the codes, post them on this post and I can help narrow the area of failure.
