Engine running rough. I've tried collecting engine codes but the OBD II will not read them. Power comes on automatically when connected to the data link connection plug and I've checked the fuse. The unit says to check the connection. I've done that more than several times. I've even had both O'Reilly's and Autozone try and have had no luck. No one seems to have any answers.

you will have to check the power wire for a short in wire then or have a local pro do it.

Thank you for your timely response.

Can you tell me which wire that would be in the data link connector or can you refer me to a wiring diagram? I have a Haynes manual but it's very basic and doesn't label the individual wires of the connector.

Thank you once again,
Brad Roen

see pic also pins number 2 & 10 but if connection pin is bad that will need to be replaced. also check grounds with ohm meter so you don't have to trace wires.
