MY car works fine, but i noticed the check engine light blinked for about fifteen seconds then went off. I used my scanner to search if you here was a code or sum but it read no codes. I continued driving, but have not noticed it coming on again. The most recent thing i did with the car was take it to a car wash. Can anyone tell me why the light blinked and should i be worried ?

a module may have gotten wet and it is an intermittent thing maybe from fuel cap not tight. no do not be worried until you get it on steady.

Just to add to this one when the check engine light flashes it means there is a miss fire bad enough to damage the catalyst. There should have been a code somewhere in the computer. If it comes back on make sure you write the codes down and post the exact code numbers not code descriptions.

If the light is off and it is running good then maybe something got wet. Did they detail your engine?
