I had my oil changed Friday at a local service center. When I left my check engine light blinked a few times. It hasn't all weekend until today, it blinked twice then went off. Should I take it back to the service center to see if something wasn't reset? Or should I take somewhere else? I use the Lucas fuel treatment/high mileage treatment every other fill up. This was recommended by a technician a few months ago. Is this possibly the problem?

Good afternoon,

I would stop the additive to the fuel. Those additives have little or no effect on the fuel.

As far as the light, yes, take it back and them check to see if they spilled any oil on the plugs as that would be a reason for the misfire.

I have seen oil change shops leave vacuum line connections off near the air filter housing.

Thank you so much for your help! I went back and the technician checked everything and said it was a mishap with a spill. He checked the hoses and gas lid tank as well. The light has stopped blinking so far. Thank you so much for your time and assistance!
