Check engine light came on. Took to dealer garage and computer diagnosed as catalytic converter. Car has no other symptoms. Light is solid and not blinking. Is it okay to drive for a while before replacement is necessary? Thank you

Hi,

As long as the converter isn't clogged, you should be okay for a while. You may notice a change in MPG. If, however, you notice a power loss, have it repaired? Also, here is a link you may find of interest, it describes common symptoms related to a catalytic converter problem:

Just for curiosity, was it a P0420 that was found?

Let me know.
