I purchased the car and the same day driving home the check engine light came on. The guy I bought it from took it to his mechanic 4 times and it still came back on. They replaced the Purge valve and a sensor. What can be wrong? The code still says Purge Valve.

Hello,

Do you happen to know what is the code number?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

It can help with the diagnostics.
As the purge valve can be stuck open or closed. It could trigger a leak or make it difficult to fill up the gas.

Also do you know what repair they might have done? Did they replace the valve or what was the fix they tried?

Kindly let me know little bit more information.
Thank you.
