2006 vs passat 2.0t. Jerking up hills, starting off and when idling. Check engine light flashes and stays illuminated. Codes are p000a and p0304. What could be the issue?

P0304 Is Cylinder #4 misfire detected. This can be caused by multiple problems of course. As for your P000A that is Camshaft position sensor slow response Bank 1.

You could have a bad camshaft position sensor, this can mess with ignition and injector timing, although I am not a VW tech. Could also cause a misfire code. I'm sure one of the techs on here with more VW experience can answer these questions with more detail. I did want to let you know what those codes were though.

Just to add to this one swap the number 4 and three coils and clear the codes see if the miss moves from 4 to 3?If it does bad coil. It's common for the coils on those to go bad.
