My car had a gas emission leak code which we put new gas cap. Also a catalytic converter code in which we put a cleaner. Check engine went away and came back. It recently overheated about a month after putting new gas cap, etc, it recently started overheating so I refilled the coolant which it seemed to need and it did not overheat for two days, until today. The check engine also flashed on and off. What seems to be the problem?

You need to first act on the coolant leak, get a coolant pressure test done as this will help locate any external leak. Do this first and re post if you require further assistance.
