Check engine and oil light on

Okay. We need to start with checking for codes. The oil light does not always mean it is low on oil. It normally means there is low oil pressure. This could be caused by low oil but there are other reasons for this as well. The check engine light should tell us everything we need to know on what direction to go.

The oil came out of the engine because I suspect it was overfilled. However, let's just start with checking codes and maybe do an oil change so that we know we have the proper amount of oil in the engine.
