Check engine and MWL on?

My check engine and master warning light are on. It’s pulling the code P26CB - can I drive on this? It’s not leaking coolant or overheating.

I have an appt Monday for repair but need to travel about 200 miles btwn now and then.

Hello, this being an electronic water pump, you risk overheating the engine and possibly severe engine damage. This code is P26CB: Engine water pump motor lock. It's not worth the damage that can happen to the head gaskets and possibly warping the cylinder head.

Is the repair likely a completely new water pump? I have an extended warranty through my dealer so I’m not worried, but just curious.

I am not sure; they will need to test the power and ground supply for the pump. If for some reason its missing its power supply or ground due to a bad connection or wire it will not function. That is something they will test for.
