The red brake light is indicating one of two things. First low brake fluid. Second, an electrical issue in the brake system like a faulty fluid level switch or circuit.
I would suggest starting with checking the fluid level. If it is low do not just top it off. There is a reason it is low and we need to find that. Either it is due to a leak or the brakes are worn out.
If it is low and you have a firm pedal and no other brake issues when I would pull the wheels off and inspect the brakes as I doubt you have a leak. However you should look underneath while someone is pressing the brakes.
