I have the vehicle listed above model. I got a diagnostic and there is a bent/thrown engine rod, so the engine won’t turn over. There was a pop sound then smoke came into the cabin. The repair/engine replacement was estimated at $2300-$2500. I’m broke with no other options to pay for that, so is there any possible, cheap way to get the car running again? Even if there are caveats to a potential solution right now, I’m hoping to get the car back on the road and really fix things when I can afford to. Is there a hack, partial replacement, temporary fix? Anything that can be done that’s as cheap as possible? I want to make sure that there’s nothing I can do before I get rid of the car.

This depends on how bad the damage is and what can be done. Can you upload a short video or images of the damage or what happens when you try to turn the engine over? Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
