I have put 3 wiper motors in the last year and a half due to cheap parts. Does someone have manufacture w/ better materials?

Good afternoon,

Why did they fail?

A lot of times, people use wiper motor to clear a windshield of snow or ice. That alone will cause the motor to fail.

If you want a top quality motor, you will need one from the dealer. That is why they are over 2 times the price of aftermarkets.

No snow or ice. Nylon gearing don't last long and I'm old. Even O'Reilly parts should last more than 6 months. Called the dealer today, they wanted three times the price and couldn't tell me what materials went into it. The O'Reilly's motor is still under warranty, but need something better assembled for my health.

You will be getting the same thing at the parts store. The dealer motors are not plastic. As I stated, that is why they are the most expensive.

Techs do not know the interior construction of parts. They remove and install only.

The re manufacturer or the manufacturer are the ones who know what they are made internally.
