My car just started making loud chattering noises which seem to be tied to the A/C. It stops for a bit when I adjust it. I'm assuming that it's the blend door actuator as I know it's a known problem area on this car. How do I determine which one it is and how do I access/replace it?

You must locate the blend door actuator that is making noise and then replace it, this is a common problem. You can do this by putting your hand on the actuator in question. Here are the locations and how to replace it in the diagrams below:

Actuator Recalibration

Calibration Procedure

Use the following steps to perform the calibration update:

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine "off".
3. Select HVAC Control Module
4. Select Special Functions
5. Select recalibrate All Motors
6. Select "on", wait 60 seconds.

Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
