my battery light came on and now altnator wont keep battery charged battery brand new i can jump start my pickup and drive it about a mile b4 the battery looses a charge and pickup will slowly die would this be voltage regulator maybe

no check fusible link for alternator and fuses then check for a parasitic draw after truck is shut off.
