Charging system

After jumpstarting my truck it only runs a few minutes, all lights go dim and eventually the whole truck shuts off, lights and all.

Check battery with a load test, you may have to do a bench charge first. Also, check the alternator output voltage at the main terminal on the back of the alternator, you should be seeing around 14.5 volts. Please post back your findings.

Alternator reads 12.21 battery has been charging for an hour.

Alternator out put is to low, get it off and bench tested for internal faults.
