Hello,

It could be a faulty Instrument Panel Cluster If you can get access to a scan tool With the Ignition on engine running verify the scan tool Battery Voltage parameter is between 12.5 and 15.5 volts. Turn the light on and off with the scan tool if the light will not go out. The test says to replace the IPC. I'm attaching repair guide and replacement instructions below, The programming will need to be done with Special Programming Services and a Tech2 scan tool or equivalent. Let us know if this information was helpful or if you need more info.

It’s not the IPC it works fine and the gauge in the dash is working properly.

If the gauge is functioning properly than it could be the Battery Current Sensor it is part of the negative battery cable. I'm attaching wiring schematic below and exploded view of the part. Note I split the wiring diagram into 2 parts for easier viewing. Let us know if you need more information.

Thanks

Good morning,

You may have a bad cluster but in order to confirm it, you need a scan tool to monitor the alternator operation. I attached descriptions and testing required to verify why the system is giving you this message.
