Charging A/C with new compressor, do I drain the PAG oil prior to installing?

If not, after I vacuum the system for 30 minutes do I need to add recommended PAG oil or does this oil remain in the system and I do not need to replenish?

should I charge the system via liquid initial then switch to vapor when I get the truck running and compressor on?

The video looks like he is charging with liquid only.

Thank you for your advice.

Most of the time a new compressor will come with the oil needed already installed so you don't need to add more. You can charge with the gas instead of liquid, no problem. Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
