Changing transmission fluid?

This was my husband’s truck and he passed away. The transmission fluid has never been changed. Was wondering what to do about it

I’m very sorry for your loss. If the truck is shifting normally and there are no transmission warning signs, I would recommend doing a basic transmission service, not a power flush.

Use MERCON V ATF in the automatic transmission. Do not use regular old MERCON unless the bottle specifically says it meets MERCON V specification.
