I have seen several videos some check the level with engine running others with it off, the check level plug is on side of the transmission pan. I would think car should be running but can you please check and let me know, please.

The instructions are sort of vague. It says to start the engine, run it through the gears, then lift it and check the level. If oil runs out it's over filled, if none comes out its low. I would say you leave it running for the check.

Yes, that's what I am thinking, because when it's off of course there will be fluid and maybe a lot in the pan. Since they didn't state to shut it off, I would assume that.
