I am pretty handy but never done it on these and want to try it. Can you send some instructions? And any special tools it requires? Car is making a rattle only at load, nothing while idling or driving if you don't push it?
2.5l.

Hi,

I'm not sure what type you replaced in the past, but these are somewhat extensive. The engine will need support so that you can remove engine mounts. Otherwise, you can't remove the timing chain cover.

Also, the components are sealed with a gasket maker rather than a traditional gasket. As a result, they can be difficult to remove.

I attached the directions below (which are extensive) for you to review. Take a look through them and let me know if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

I said the same thing. LOL The problem is you can't access the chain without removing the engine mounts. Nothing is ever easy.

Let me know if you have other questions. Also, note that when you are performing the service, you may find short cuts that can eliminate some of the things indicated above.

Let me know.

It would be easier to cut a piece of the frame in front of the engine mount, lol. Thanks man.

Hi,

No problem. I hope it helps. I don't understand why engineers can't put thought into how to do things differently. Maybe it's true and they do it on purpose. LOL

Regardless, if you can, let me know how things turn out or if I can help in any way.

Take care and save the frame. LOL
