Do I have to lift engine to change oil pan gasket on my car? It leaks pretty bad near the oil filter and I have been told twice it is the oil pan gasket leaking. any suggestions?

Good morning.

Is this a front wheel drive or rear wheel drive?

Yes, the engine has to be lifted as high as it will go. once it is off the mounts, then use blocks of wood between the frame mounts and the engine.
