There is no shortcut. The fuel tank has to be removed

Thanks man i was thinking about cutting floor pan to save time its a 700$ work POS to avoid bustin straps

That's a bad idea. The is a space between the floor and the pump and the pump usually doesn't come straight out so you would need a considerably larger hole, even if you did know the exact spot and you don't. Bad idea all around.
