I have a 1953 Ford, Customline. The electrical system is Positive Ground. My question is, "what has to be changed" if I want to change it to a Negative Ground system?

Starter, generator, voltage regulator maybe switches it's been so long for me that I forget. Possibly horns as well. There really isn't anything wrong with positive ground as long as you can find a rebuilder for major electrical parts. Unless you want to switch to a modern motor and alternator.

Thanks for your response. If I can have my major components reworked? Can I make the electrical system 12 volts Positive Ground for better dependability?

No because when it was changed 12 volts it went to negative ground. Besides you would burn out all your light bulbs and gauges if you went to 12 volts.
