I changed the head gaskets, cleaned the engine block pit, new oil, new oil filter, new coat, new spark plugs, new coil pack and wires, but when I go to start it, it kind of backfires first, then doesn't start... what is wrong?

It could be you just need to let the engine sit for a day to allow the lifter to bleed back down to the proper adjustment but if you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the engine cranking over I can tell for sure what's going on.. You can upload it here with your response.
