Starter replacement

Was having problems hit and miss with the truck starting, the last time we had trouble starting it we discovered the wire going from the solenoid is completely disintegrated. Had to start it with a screw driver to get it home. The starter arrived yesterday, I can’t seem to find clear instructions for that particular year. Can anyone help?
