change side mirror

I am attempting to change the right side outer mirror. took out the three gold bolts but discovered a gold screw behind the rubber piece that I cannot quite figure out how to remove. thought I would do some research before attempting to remove the rubber piece. any suggestions?

Take a look at the attachments which shows the process on how to remove the mirror. I suspect the screw that you are seeing is for mirror adjustment handle. More then likely you have manual adjusting mirrors and if you do then that should hold the mechanism for moving the mirror. However, if you get a picture of what you are seeing we should be able to figure this out for sure.
