Need to know how to change Power steering belt with diagram and tools needed, for the vehicle listed above 3.3l or 3.1l? Does the power steering replacement belt also need a replacement tensioner?
Thank you

Hello,

Here is a guide to help you see how the belt routing goes with more information in the diagrams below:

https://www.2carpros.com/diagrams/nissan/xterra/2001

Power steering pump belt

Note: Check belt deflection with engine cold.
With engine cold, apply 22 lbs. (10 kg) pressure on belt at center distance between pulleys and note belt deflection. Adjust belt tension if belt deflection is not within specification. See

2.4L .31-.39 (8-10) .39-.51 (10-13)
3.3L .31-.35 (8-9) .37-.41 (9.5-10.5)

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
