Cabin filter location and instructions needed for replacing

On that car it's hidden behind a panel that is behind the glove compartment. To access it you first need to remove the right hand trim cap from the dash, then remove the fuse box access from the center of the dash. Next you remove the central dash trim cover and the passenger side cover of the console (image is of driver side passenger side is a mirror image). Next you remove the lower cover from the dash access in the passenger footwell.
Now that all of those are out of the way of the fasteners you can access the part you really need to remove to get to the cover. Remove the screws and push pins that secure the glove box to the dash and pull it out and set aside. Now you can see the access panel for the filter on the HVAC case. Use a tool to release the clips on the sides and remove the cover. Now you may want to have a vacuum standing by with a long nose extension if the filter hasn't been changed in a while, that or plan on removing the blower motor to clean it out if there is a mess on top of the filter. Now gently remove the filter and clean up anything left in the case or fan. Then look at the airflow direction on the new filter, slide it into place and reinstall the cover. Then put the glove box and all the trim panels back on. If something fell into the blower motor don't put the trim back on yet, instead go under the dash and remove the screws that hold the blower motor in and remove it to clear it out. Then re-assemble everything.
