Catalytic converter replacement

I need to replace the catalytic converter. All after market do not have heat shield on the converter. Is there going to be a problem if I use one without the heat shield? The car is not worth the price of a dealer part.

no the heat shield is normally attached to the car not the converter and it wont be a problem anyhow.
